Chamber Furnaces

Vecstar's muffle furnaces use a wire wound ceramic muffle to provide excellent uniformity and a smooth hard wearing work surface.

Vecstar uses only the ‘highest grade’ insulation materials to ensure our 1300°c chamber furnaces are as energy efficient as possible.

Vecstar's high temperature chamber furnaces are equipped with roof mounted silicon carbide elements.

Vecstar’s high temperature XF range of chamber furnaces are equipped with Molybdenum Disilicide elements positioned vertically down the sides of the chamber, this provides excellent temperature uniformity and rapid heat up times.

When ashing materials a good airflow through the chamber is essential for complete combustion. We ensure this with a 50mm bore chimney, 610mm high which gives the required air flow. Air is drawn through inlets in the back of the furnace under the hearth tile, being pre-heated before entering the chamber, passing over the samples and travelling up the chimney.

Vecstar's heat treatment furnaces have wire elements supported on ceramic tubes which are mounted in the roof and sides of the chamber to provide optimum temperature uniformity.

Vecstar’s hot modulus of rupture furnaces are designed and manufactured to customer specifications up to a maximum temperature up to 1700°C.
